Principal's Message
Dear Students, Teachers, and Parents,
Education is the most powerful tool that shapes not only minds but entire societies. As we continue our journey together, it is important to remember the guiding vision set forth by UNESCO — the Four Pillars of Education: Learning to Know, Learning to Do, Learning to Be, and Learning to Live Together. These guiding principles echo deeply with the educative vision of St. John Bosco, the father and founder, of Don Bosco School who dreamt of forming “good Human Being and honest citizens” through an environment of love, learning, and growth.
Don Bosco School, Purnea, strives to make education a journey of the mind, heart, and
spirit. Through “Learning to Know,” the school encourages curiosity and the thirst for knowledge—
helping each child not just to gather facts, from the textbooks or classrooms but to understand, every
lesson, every question, and discover truth with a discerning heart.
Through “Learning to Do,” the school forms the young minds to develop skills and to
translate their learning into action — students who are responsible, skilled, and ready to serve society
with competence, innovation and creativity.
Through “Learning to Live Together,” the school fosters a family spirit of respect,
tolerance, and harmony that celebrates unity in diversity. Thus, making the school community a living
example of harmony where respect, empathy, and cooperation are learned through daily experience.
And through “Learning to Be,” The School accompanies every student in becoming a self
aware person discovering his/her talents, values and purpose, thus building confidence, character,
faith, and compassion— shaping an individual into a fully alive personality, with a sense of truth,
kindness and moral strength.
All this becomes meaningful when grounded in the Preventive System of Don Bosco, built on
Reason, Religion, and Kindness.
1) Reason teaches the students to act wisely, to think before they decide, and to choose what is
good and right.
2)Religion connects the students with God, the source of all wisdom and love, guiding them to
live with faith, hope, and charity.
3) Kindness makes every student learn joyfully, make him/ her discipline humane, and make the
school community truly Family — where every student feels valued, respected, and loved.
Dear Bosconians, as you continue your journey in the Don Bosco School family, may you learn not only for success but for service; not only to compete but to contribute; not only to shine but to share your light. Let your education be a path that transforms your life and, through you, the life of others. Thus Make our planet a better place to live in where PEACE, UNITY and HARMONY dwells.
